Not to toot our own horn, but we single-handedly crafted a water misting system to prevent dust during loading and unloading. Quite nifty, no? Additionally, we lubricate and replace swivels, and we repair or replace essential parts in a timely manner, extending your crane’s lifespan. If needed, we hoist up the entire thing to fix the wheels—using the proper gear, of course.
Curious what else we have up our sleeves? We replace and fine-tune important components (think cylinders, pumps, valves, engines…). We optimise cranes running on hydraulic oil, ensuring less heat generation and slower wear and tear. And we mend harbour cranes showing signs of cracks. Read: intricate welding, repair, and fortification work doesn’t faze us.
For repairs and annual maintenance, Kranig is your go-to. So far, we’ve spruced up 228 offshore cranes. Our pièce de résistance: we once replaced six old, corroded cranes—without jack-up. We used only a crew transfer vessel. Wait, what? Yes, really. We let our imagination roam, throwing straightforward methods out the window. This way, we saved our client a pretty penny.
We also replace old, cracked hydraulic hoses. So far, we’ve done this for 49 cranes, neatly following the regulations and steering clear of oil leaks. When tackling a job, we like to keep things tidy. In addition, we overhaul and replace a myriad of major components: winches, cylinders, valves, pumps, gearboxes… That’s right, the big stuff. We’re not shy about troubleshooting, either—be it electrical, hydraulic, or involving PLCs. Kranig has it all under one roof.
